SECRET approach combines elements of cell biology, molecular biology and virology to cover important aspects of stem cell research. 

 

Research activities will include donor selection, clinical examination and abdominal tissue collection. Collected tissue samples will be used for mesenchymal stem cell isolation isolation, expansion, cryopreservation, immunophenotyping by flow cytometry, followed by gene expression analysis using microarrays and secretome composition analysis using mass spectrometry prior to and following viral infection.
